Grass Rigs

During the spring, grass fires are very common. The Eagle Fire Department is responsible for approximately 34,000 acres of the Kettle Moraine State Park.

We need to provide fire protection and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to the state park, farm fields and other remote areas where our larger rigs cannot access.

Fires in these areas are not uncommon. Fires may be caused by campers, lightening, various accidents, bon fires in inappropriate conditions, and by the trains' breaking systems as they pass through town. Living in a rural area requires that we provide service in these hard to reach areas.

As always, this equipment is used to support , and we are supported by, our neighboring (Mutual Aid) departments - North Prairie, Palmyra, Mukwonago, etc.
